2011 Hurricane Forecast
Current predictions for the 2011 Hurricane season are for an above average hurricane season. The number of Named Storms range from 15-17, of which 8-9 will be Hurricanes and 4-5 will be major hurricanes (category 3 or higher).

The average hurricane season for the Atlantic is 11 named storms, of which 6 become hurricanes and 2 reach major hurricane status.
